Every great story has a beginning, and ours started in the heart of Yorkshire, where both of our journeys began. It was a simpler time, laying the foundation for a lifelong connection we couldn't yet foresee.

Fate first brought us together at Scott Hall Middle School in Leeds 7. It was an innocent era of childhood crushes and playground games.

A determined eight-year-old Sukhvinder set her sights on Imran, playfully chasing him around the schoolyard. However, a young Imran wasn't quite ready for romance and remained delightfully uninterested. Little did we know, this brief encounter was just the prologue to our grandest adventure.

As we departed for different high schools, it seemed our paths had diverged for good. But destiny has a funny way of working. A chance encounter through a mutual friend from Imran's high school brought us back into each other's lives. The childhood spark blossomed into a deep, undeniable love. Things grew serious, and we soon declared our absolute devotion to one another.

On September 11th, 1995, we took a leap of faith and entered into a secret marriage. However, our union sparked a storm that would brew for the next two decades. Our families vehemently disagreed with our marriage, setting the stage for years of hardship. Amidst the turmoil, our love only grew stronger, and in 1997, our beautiful daughter was born, bringing a new ray of light into our world.

The new millennium tested our resilience like never before. We faced immense pressure and prejudice from family members who disapproved of a Muslim and a Sikh marrying. They told us it wouldn't last, casting dark clouds of racism and negativity over our relationship.

We lived in a humble back-to-back house in Harehills, Leeds. Times were tough, and the daily struggles were real, but we refused to give up. We leaned on each other, outlasting the negativity and holding our family together. In 2001, our joy multiplied with the birth of our son.

Having weathered the storms of the past, we emerged stronger than ever. The negative noises and disapproval finally faded away, replaced by the unshakeable foundation we had built. We had overcome seemingly insurmountable odds to keep our love alight.

In 2017, we decided it was time to share our story. We appeared on the UK's Big Brother, not for fame, but to show the world—and those in Leeds who once doubted us—the true power of our love. It was a declaration of our bond for everyone to see and feel.

Following our television appearance, a new shared dream began to take shape. We decided to embark on a business venture together, agreeing on our shared passion: Tequila. This led us to board a plane and fly straight to the heartland of agave—Guadalajara, Mexico.
